Good Morning Buddha

So like I promised Dallin and to my utter amazement
I actually was up at 5 am so that we could go off to Farmington Station.

Look it was so early they had the lights on in the trees.

This was the first band to play and we were told to dance
for the camera.  I felt like the girls on "That Thing You Do When" when
they run out on stage and start dancing then run off.
(notice the teen Will I Am and the middle age Fergie. Is Fergie middle aged? I have no idea.
Well let us say the older then Fergie want to be Fergie)

Loved them.

Next we were told to stand in front of here and
listen to Big Buddha interview this guy.
Then Whoop Whoop when the camera turned to us.
Don't worry no one actually said "Whoop Whoop".

I'm sure all the teenage girls loved this guy.
He wrote his own music and played the guitar.

Next came the Settebello's segment.
My fav because they feed us yummy food.
It doesn't take much for me to be happy.

We ended with this handsome trio.
I loved these guys.  Blue Grass and handlebar mustaches, nuff said.

I must confess that I lined danced.
I know nothing could make this better.
But let me say their was a high school girl who was leading it
and next thing I know I am boot scooting.

Thanks Davis High School Band for this fun morning with my 14 year old
who is usually to busy playing his tuba or mine craft to hang with his awesome
and very talented in the way of line dancing mother.

Check out Farmington Stations, Rock the Park and then eat at Settebello.

6am what

Dallin asked me if I wanted to go with him to see Big Buddha tomorrow
at Farmington Station.   Like all good things and moms I say "sure D that sounds like fun"
Now at midnight and knowing we have to be their at 6am.  It sounds like the
worst idea we have ever had.
Remember its for Dallin!  Remember its for Dallin!
Nope didn't work still feels lame.

Look for me me I'll be the lady with the greasy hair and mascara under my eyes.

Breakfast Time

This morning as I was making my green smoothie the always
amazing "Its Breakfast Time" song popped into my mind.
So I decided to share.

A major fav for my little one's is "There's a Party In My Tummy".
Its so yummy you should watch it.

Who doesn't love Flight of the Conchords and a little French in the morning?

"Foux Du Fa Fa"

This one to help you want to get up and dance my friends.
I have no idea what it is saying but it makes me want to learn french!

DInner

I am working on making dinner every night.
I must admit that if Justin is gone or if the littlest thing comes up
I am all about running and getting something.
I also struggle with remembering to take the meat out of the freezer to thaw out.
Which leads me to running to the store to buy something which I already own.
So here is to planning ahead and saving some money.

This Week's Dinners
Sriracha Sauce Salmon with Rice and Black Beans.
Man Pleasing Chicken (not my name) with Fruit, Baked Zucchini & baked beans
Taco with Salad and Black Beans
Chicken Pitas with Tzatziki Sauce with Fresh Fruit
Homemade Pizza with Salad
Breakfast (a great standby for when Justin is gone).

Never Give Up

Last Friday at the end of yoga, my amazing and super awesome yoga instructor
Robin, told us about Arthur Boorman.

I could write a million words about how inspiring this man is or you
could just click play and find out for yourself.
Yup I'm with you! So watch it already!

So Smooth

My family is taking on a 30 day green smoothie challenge from The Unconventional Kitchen
(not all of us willingly).

I love green smoothies!!! I had fallen out of making them and when I did I pretty much just made my fav.  I love that I get 30 new recipes and a healthier way for the fam's to start our day.

Photo from Unconventional Kitchen

So with us about to start day six I have to say I feel amazing!!!
I feel more level, not so chaotic in my life.  Way more energy and I am waking up refreshed and ready for the day.  I should add that I have also cut out most sugar (had a cookie Justin made last night) and I am working out most days.  It's amazing how food affects us for good or bad.

I realized one day that if we didn't start looking at how we view the way we were eating then one day
we would have to change the way we viewed it.

Here's my go to smoothie.

CHOCOLATE, PEANUT BUTTER AND BANANA
! scoop chocolate protein powder
! frozen banana
1 spoonful of peanut butter
1 handful of greens (spinach or kale)

Mix together and enjoy.
