Mi!o & Evie

Yesterday when Milo got home from school, I did the typical mom questions.
How was school?  Do you have anything I need to see? Who did you play with? Did you learn lots?
Obviously these thing have come to bug my kindergartner already,
because he responded with an eye role and "come on mom, just barge into my backpack"
and then threw his backpack in my direction.
Thanks Milo, I can feel the love.

While walking Evie to a friends house a crow was cawing.
Evie cawed back, then the crow caw again.
I told Evie "look the bird is talking to you"
She responded with "yeah, that because I talk bird."
Then she cawed some more.

They Call Her, Evie 2 Wheels. Because She Always Rides With 2 Wheels

So I was standing there looking at my laundry,
thinking I really should take care of it,  when Milo came
running into tell me he taught Evie to ride a 2 wheeler.

So I stood there and made the hard choice to leave my pile of laundry.
As we walked out to the front yard Milo told me all about how he taught her.
How he didn't need to hold on for to long, just a little bit.

Milo would get her going and then follow her around clapping and jumping up and down.
She was all smiles and enjoyed her new found skill like only Evie can.

Don't mind her hair,  her friends dog loves to chomp on it.

Luckily, Justin was on prep so I could call and let him know right away.
He was super happy and proud of both of his little people.
He also was a little sad,  Evie is our baby and his last one we get to
teach this kinda of stuff too.
In fact his quote was
"I kinda feel like the therapist on What About Bob and got cheated out of teaching my son how to dive"
Mostly he was just thrilled and loved that this is something that they can share forever.

I was feeling nothing but happy loving feelings for these 2 little folk.
One of those being a mom rocks moments.
Then I look out the window.
Happy!  Loving!  Feelings!

Mi!o gets an invite

Milo went to his first birthday party..

Wait for it....

All by himself.

No little sister, no big sister
and no big brothers.

Us walking to his friends house.
(Milo says his hair is magic because its both light and dark)
Wish I had magic hair.

Milo and his friend.

Milo's gift.

As you know from here, I am doing the FCF $100 challenge.
Here's how I was able to rock the challenge birthday party style.
We usually have a $5 - $15 friend birthday budget.
Older kid stuff just cost more so we give our teens more to spend.

Back to what I spent and what I saved.
Milo would usually have right around $5, but
Target had a bunch of toys on sale for 70% off.
(Thank you Megan for the Call)
Which made it so we didn't sacrifice on the quality of gift, but
still only spend slightly less then $2.
The raping paper is actually scrape booking paper that
we already had.  So no money spent.

Which means I was able to save $3.
You only have to save $3.25 a day to make it to your goal.

Mi!o turns 4

Oh man I can't believe that my little man is 4.
Milo loves star wars and if you dare give incorrect info about
star wars or really anything he'll correct you in a very matter of fact
know it all way

We call him our fact totem.

He loves everyone and is so kind
(unless you say something that is not correct)

He is most comfortable in his unders.
he starts taking his close off as he gets out of the car and is in only his underwear
the moment we enter the house.
If he is dress it is usually in some star wars costume.
Love you Milo Man

Mi!o's First Hair Cut

How do you instantly transform your 13 mth old into a toddler????
Cut off all of their lovely baby locks!!!!
Milo wasn't having this hole sitting still thing.
So I sat in the chair with him on my lap while my hair
lady Tracy went to business.
Just a simple back shot to show how long his hair was.

Milo not so sure about me setting him down after the cut.

He was so good mostly and thankfully because Tracy's next
appointment turned up early and kept Mr Milo's attention
on her and not on the fact that he was being sheered.
I love his new little look and he did magically before my
eyes become a little man. That part I always find sad.
I will miss you Milo's long blond locks, just like I'll miss your
baby hood. Ok I know way sappy but I am allowed to because this is
my little man who is still a baby but is about to become the big brother
to his little sister.

Sneak Peak

Here is just a sneak peak into the craziness that
happens to be my life at the moment.
Enter at your own risk!!!!

Sneak peak at Milo and his little sister's bedding.
With the help from Megan, we appliqued these cute owls on
some dang cute fabric. They are now visiting Grandma Thompson
who is kindly quilting and binding them for me.

I am now entering my 33 week of hell. I mean
gestation. My mind hurts when I think that a little blessing
from above will be joining us in 7 short weeks.
I have to be honest that it has taken me a long time to
warm up to this little baby girl and I am
not prepared at all. I have bought very little and what I did buy
took a lot of effort to convince myself that I am indeed pregnant and
I can't bring this child home naked. Now how ever I find myself getting excited
and I feel grateful to Heavenly Father for entrusting me with another
loving little spirit. Now if I only new who she was and what
I should call her????????? I have never gone this long without
a name, and if your around me at all you know how much this really and I
mean really bugs me. So if you leave a comment leave a name as well.

Last but not least, Milo and his hair.
My family (mom) thinks he needs a hair cut
that he looks like a little girl and that it is
high time that he looks like a little boy. I
hate the idea of cutting his locks but now
6 people have told me I have the cutest little girl and
how pretty she is and what a good little walker she is.
To which I say.
Um he is caring a ball, growling at a dinosaur and dressed like a boy!!!!
HE IS A BOY LADY!

Stay tuned for Milo's first haircut and me crying like a baby at
his first haircut.

Milo + 5 mths = Cereal

That's right Milo is now 5 mths!!! Can you believe it???
I can't! Where oh where does time go?
5 mths means cereal. That's right one more first in my little mans life.

I was having so much fun feeding him and watching him make concerned little
faces that I totally burnt our dinner. I completely forgot
about the bacon on the grill outside.
I was so in the moment of rescoping cereal back into his mouth that
he promptly would spit back out, that I forgot all about the B in our BLT'S.
Sorry my 3 other children enjoy the LT's.
Oh that's right not one of you likes tomatoes and opt for
only bacon on your BLT'S.
So I guess you all get cereal as well!!!

Yea for me Mother of The Year.
Once again!!!!
