So Foxy!

Tonight was back to school night for Justin. 

Which meant that he was gone all day and all night long.

All night long!

(I hope you sung that last all night.)

So when he strolled in at 8 pm, I needed to get out.

Which meant I wandered around Target and found this fox.

Oil Pulling

Have you ever tried oil pulling?

You take a spoonful of coconut oil and swish it around your mouth for about 20 min.

If you try it be sure to spit the oil into the trash, not your sink.

The first time I tried it I was expecting to gag and have a fowl taste in my mouth.

Honestly it has a mild taste and if you had an essential oil like peppermint 

you can't even taste the oil.

I thought that 20 min would kill me, but if I do it with my morning jobs, 

it goes by fast.  I just set a timer and start cleaning.

My teeth felt cleaner from day one, my teeth are less sensitive

 and have less build up at the end of the day.

I had a tooth that felt like a cavity was starting and now seems completely fine.

I will admit that I have fallen off the oil pulling wagon and the other day got a canker sore.

Super lame!  I decide to try oil pulling with On Guard and it was gone the next day.

I have never had a canker heal that fast.

So needless to say me and oil pulling our back on and I have learned my lesson.

As a side note Coconut Oil is also amazing on your face and helps a bunch with acne.

Book's Check Em Out

I love recipe books!!!!  Come on who doesn't?

When I saw The Romney Family Table, I knew I wanted it,

and let Justin know that I wanted it and left hints it would make a great Christmas present.

Somehow my hints feel short and this was not waiting for me under the tree.

I did get the new gym shoes, that I picked out and bought and put under the tree.

Anyway, I saw that it was on sale for half off at Desert Book!!!!

So I ran over and picked up my very own copy.

I can't wait to try out so many of the recipes and I love all the pictures of the Romney family.

  I'm sure that they will be feature on Menu Thursday.

12 Days

Happy New Years!!!

 

I just finished putting up Christmas and wanted to share my favorite find of the season.

I love this book and was over joyed when I found it at the DI for only a dollar!

Its vintage with understated Christmas color.

Simply amazing.

I have a bunch of wedding pics on my camera card until I finish editing.

I'll share later but I love them.

So unfortunately these are off of my phone and really don't do them justice.

This week I needed this reminder.  With all the amazing things and inspiration out there via the internet, sometimes I forget that we all have slumps and hard days.

I love the saying "don't judge somebody's outward self with your inward self"  or something like that.

The Fantastic Wes Anderson

I think I have found my husbands Christmas present.

We love Wes Anderson.  I mean love.

I want him to come and  script my life and design my home.

Since I can't have that, I can at least have a book, um for my husband.

You can tell when we have watch it because we say cuss a lot.

Update

As you know from here, I'm doing a 12 week challenge with my gym.

I have had great weeks and lame ones.

Honestly I have had more lame ones then great ones.

Seriously I think my kids have planned out how to get sick.

I get it kids, change is hard for all of us.

I'll still love you even if I have a rocking body.

So even with all this sabotage going on, I am down a size.

Can I get a hell ya Heck Ya!

On Saturday I ran to Gap Outlet to try and find some jeans that fit.

(I know poor me, I now have saggy butt jeans.)

Lets just say I found the sale of a life time.

That outfit I'm sporting cost right around $6.

No lie, just 6 macaroons for the jeans, sweater and jacket.

I only spent $30 for this bag of clothes.

I would show all of what I found but it's for Christmas, so I am bond by Christmas law and therefor 

can show nothing.

But here's a run down

4  pairs of pants

3 sweaters

2 dresses 

1 pair of sandals

1 jacket

1 plaid shirt.

When I was told the total, I may have done a fist pump with a yes! and the lady behind the counter may have looked at me like I needed mental help.

To which I grabbed my bag and gave a don't judge me I have 5 kids to clothe smile. 

Here's how I did it.  Gap was having a 50% off all clearance, I had a coupon for another 25% off

and lastly I had rewards from when I did my back to school shopping trip.

My friend Jackie got a group of us together to make these super cute blocks from Caravan Shoppe.

 Lets just say that Milo and Evie love them. They were perfect for Conference weekend.

Roy Shop Find

First off I feel kinda bad because I hate going to Roy.

I don't know if its because the traffic makes me want to scream,

or the fact that my Dad was an Air Force man and

when I was in 3rd grade he got transferred from

Washington to Utah and we spent what felt like

an eternity in a little hotel in Roy.

It was dark and little and we couldn't play outside

because it wasn't safe. The run down hotel is still there

next to Burger Bar. Ah Burger Bar one of the things

that entice me to visit Roy the other is Lucky China.

I know but I really like food.

Anyways back to my Roy find and another reason

to visit Roy. I saw this store with all this cute furniture

the last time me and Justin ate at Lucky China.

I still wasn't very excited to go and explore because of the

above reason. Anyway last Friday I was in Riverdale

after Milo's Dr apt and decided to go and venture to Roy.

After screaming at the traffic I found my

Diamond in the ruff!!!!

Recreation

I love this and if I had a bigger bedroom it would

now live with me.

The lady (who was totally nice and let me take pixs to blog with)

has refurbish all kinds of furniture.

Love this hutch.

For some reason I am truly loving birds right now,

that and pops of red.

This cute doggy that was hanging out in the store was

Milo's favorite part.

So I now must say sorry to Roy for old hurt feelings.

I now have a desire to see what else you hold.

I am sure that you will see me exploring more and more.

the store is right after Walgreens.
